The story
Staff at this Beaux-Arts grand hotel have long described switchboard lights flashing on their own, pay phones ringing in empty corridors and televisions cycling on and off in vacant rooms. A 2009 investigation centered on the lower-level women's restroom reported what sounded like a girl laughing, and comedian Wanda Sykes told a national TV audience in 2015 that she saw an apparition in her room.
