The story
Legend says a poor woman named Jenny, living in a shed by the tracks, caught fire one cold night and was struck by a train as she ran for help. About a month later, an engineer saw a burning, wailing figure racing along the rails but found nothing when he stopped. Locals still describe a ball of flame rolling down the tracks on cold autumn nights with a scream that fades as it passes.
