The story

The museum fills the old Wausau Club building, where a ghost called Martha is said to have died in the north wing. Witnesses describe a woman in period dress on the grand staircase, along with lights switching on and off, a swaying chandelier and cold rooms, though no record of a real Martha has been found.

Visitors. Open to the public (museum; admission varies).
