The story
In 1920 a wealthy widow, Ellen McNamara, is said to have stepped through the hotel's glass atrium and fallen to the lobby, and a woman in a white gown is now reported on the mezzanine and grand staircases. Guests also describe elevators moving on their own, jazz and voices in the basement, and strange activity in the suite where Louis and Verus Davenport lived and died.
