The story

The volunteers who run this 1830 house publish their own list of resident spirits, including a 19th-century painter, a young woman who mourned a soldier, a lady in white linked to a fall on the stairs, and crew from an 1810 wreck at the nearby ferry landing. Reported activity includes lights switching on in empty rooms, especially on the third floor, and footsteps and voices heard after hours.
