The story
Visitors describe a woman in colonial dress who smiles, waves and vanishes, and a 2008 school group said they saw a woman in a white gown carrying a candle past a window. In the most-cited incident, four hurricane lamp globes rose from their candles at once and dropped to the floor in front of a docent and about thirty visitors.
