The story

Seth Bullock came to Deadwood to sell hardware and became its sheriff and a U.S. Marshal before he died in 1919. His spirit is said to keep an eye on his hotel, moving chairs until staff tell him to stop, and one family's lost boy later pointed to Bullock's portrait as the kind man who led him back to his room.
