The story
Staff in the upstairs gallery say they hear footsteps crossing the floor when they are alone, one gait uneven like someone walking on a peg leg. Some employees also connect an antique sideboard in the building with the presence of an enslaved woman, a story recorded in a 1998 book of Georgetown ghost tales.
