The story
Pauline Moses and Eliza Munnerlyn spent the summer of 1885 sewing their wedding dresses together for weddings planned on the same October day, but yellow fever killed them both first and they were buried in those gowns. Visitors to this churchyard and the neighboring Beth Elohim Cemetery report light, girlish laughter among the stones on summer evenings.
Visitors. Open to the public (free self-guided tours weekdays at midday).
