The story

Theodosia Burr Alston sailed from Georgetown at the end of 1812 and was never seen again, and local tours place her ghost at both the Man-Doyle House and the old dock. Witnesses describe a woman in period dress at the dock's edge looking out over the Sampit River before she disappears.
