The story

Local guides tell of William A. Culp, who died in his cell in 1907 while awaiting a murder trial; fellow prisoners said they saw him act out the killing every night after midnight, until the warden moved men elsewhere. Other stories involve Kate Soffel, the warden's wife who helped the Biddle brothers escape in 1902.
