The story

Mary Packer Cummings, the youngest Packer daughter, left the mansion and its contents to the borough when she died in 1912, and lore casts her as a caretaker still watching over the rooms. People on evening ghost walks report a face or pair of eyes at the upstairs windows after closing, along with smoky shapes behind the glass.

Visitors. Open seasonally for guided tours (admission charged).

Location note. Street only (Packer Hill Ave); no house number in source
