The story
The theater's main legend, carried by oral tradition and the Dayton Daily News, is of a touring actress called Victoria who vanished from her dressing room during a show in the early 1900s and was never found. Staff have told the paper about scents with no source, sounds in quiet hours and a woman's face appearing in a dressing-room mirror.
