The story
Visitors at the 1807 hilltop home of Ohio governor Thomas Worthington describe a figure matching his appearance walking through the parlor and formal rooms, and out on the sloping grounds, before vanishing. Staff and guests have also found his personal chair moved from where it was left, with no one able to explain how.
