The story
Local tradition holds that Sherman Phelps never left the 1870 home he built. Docents and visitors describe footsteps in empty upper halls, small objects shifting between shifts, figures in period dress, and a man seeming to watch from doorways near the main stair landing. The museum now hosts after-hours investigations.
Visitors. Open to the public (museum; donation admission; paranormal events extra).
