The story

The inn's ghost is Martha Mesereau, who is said to have kept watch at her window for a husband who went off to the Civil War and never returned, dying soon after the news reached her. Staff working late describe her crossing the dining room and pausing on the stairs, a whisper of 'listen,' a chandelier that won't stay off, and cameras that quit inside her old room.

Visitors. Open to the public (restaurant and event venue).
