The story
Ghost tour accounts say yellow fever killed so many in 1799 that victims were buried in trench-like ditches across the churchyard. Visitors report flashes of light and floating orbs among the headstones, and guides add that building a later church disturbed some of the older graves.
Visitors. Church grounds generally open to the public (free).
