The story
This 1790 house was used by Union forces as a medical facility, and the ghost stories told here are modest. Staff and volunteers report footsteps on the empty upper floor during opening hours, while the basement, where medical supplies were dug up in 1962, has accounts of cold spots and muffled voices.
Visitors. Open to the public (New Bern Historical Society; donation-based admission).
