The story

After a 1945 plane crash, the bodies of thirteen victims, among them soldiers coming home from the war, were kept in this building's refrigerated grocery warehouse. In the decades since, employees, shoppers and passersby have described a skittish soldier in a World War II army uniform who vanishes if anyone gets too close, once seen standing by a case of military medals.
