The story
Operating from Butte's mining heyday until 1982, the Dumas is often called the longest-running brothel in America. The spirit of Eleanor Knott, a heartbroken madam said to have taken her own life on the top floor, is reported upstairs, and the basement cribs carry an uneasy feel.
