The story

Nine-year-old Carrie Crittenden, daughter of Governor Thomas Crittenden, died of diphtheria in the mansion in 1883. A century later a maintenance worker reported a little girl playing upstairs when no children lived there, and staff and guests have since mentioned laughter in the upper halls and objects moved out of place.
