The story
Roughly half of the Mayflower passengers died in the colony's first winter and were buried in unmarked graves on this hill, and storms and construction later exposed their bones. Ghost-tour guests describe feeling watched after dark and hearing faint voices near the 1920 sarcophagus that holds the recovered remains.
Visitors. Open to the public (public hillside overlooking Plymouth Rock; free).
