The story
In 1987 a cook preparing breakfast said he saw a woman in a long blue dress pass through the closed service elevator doors. The Lady in Blue has been linked to Patricia Wilson, found dead at the bottom of the elevator shaft in 1936, and later accounts add the scent of lilac perfume and glimpses of a young woman on the eighth floor.
