The story
More than 13,000 people were held at this prison between 1872 and 1973. Raymond Snowden was hanged in 5 House in 1957 in a botched execution, and visitors there report gasping sounds, scratching, moving cell doors and cold spots, while the solitary block called Siberia carries a heavy dread.
