The story
This art museum was once the county jail, where five executions took place between 1901 and 1918. The director has described the smell of tobacco smoke in the no-smoking entrance hall, a maintenance worker hears footsteps when he is alone at night, and a co-worker reported faces in the tower windows, which can only be reached by a ladder.
Visitors. Open to the public (art museum; admission charged).
