The story

Volunteers at this 1948 theater talk about a friendly spirit nicknamed Eddie, said in local lore to be actor Edwin Booth, who keeps a seat in the balcony. They credit him with lights switching on and off during rehearsals, props moved overnight, and a cold, watchful feeling before shows.
