The story
Local ghost tours say a girl named LuLu Marshall, one of Ivy Stranahan's first pupils in 1899, drowned in the nearby New River and now plays on the inn's second-floor veranda. Historians have found no record of her drowning, but the playful girl remains the inn's signature ghost story.
