The story
Much of the fort's folklore comes from reenactors who sleep inside the walls. Two of them said they watched four men in Civil War uniforms walk out of a bastion tunnel, cross the parade ground and disappear. Overnight guests in the barracks describe boots tramping through the rooms, and a woman carrying a lantern is said to move through the lower levels.
