The story

Built in 1909 by Freelan Oscar Stanley, the hotel became world-famous after Stephen King's stay in Room 217 inspired The Shining. Guests report phantom piano music, children's laughter in empty halls and belongings unpacked while they were out, and the spirits of F.O. and Flora Stanley are often named in the stories.
