The story
Leone Jensen died at the hotel in May 1928, just weeks after it opened, and guests on the upper floors describe a Lady in White standing at the foot of the bed before walking to the door and vanishing. Children's voices and laughter heard in the lobby are tied to the 1874 adobe schoolhouse that once stood on the lot.
