The story
The first house here went up in 1852 and served as a Civil War hospital before U.S. Attorney William Henry Clayton enlarged it in 1882. A former director reported a woman's apparition in Clayton's study, and investigators recorded voices that seemed to say 'Anna' and a man shouting.
