The story
When a prop goes missing or rigging misbehaves, crews at this 1913 theater shout 'Stop it, Ned!' at a stagehand said to have fallen to his death from the fly system, though no record of that death exists. Others describe a boy nicknamed Boots whose squeaky shoes are heard in the upper balcony, a woman in white singing opera in the lobby and a man in a top hat in the boxes.
