The story

Local tellings say a homeless family sheltered in the 1932 movie house while it sat closed, and that two of their children died in the upstairs projection room. Staff since then describe a baby crying when no children are present, a small boy in the auditorium who vanishes when approached, and a face looking down on the audience from the projection booth window.
