The story
Regional ghost writers describe Sybil West, John Carlyle's second wife, who supposedly burned the belongings of his late first wife out of jealousy and is now seen screaming in the garden. Visitors also report tugs on clothing or a hand on the shoulder in the rooms linked to Carlyle's 1780 death.
