The story

Built in 1910 for the Rio Grande Western Railroad, the depot is best known for the 'Purple Lady,' said to be a woman struck by a train after she chased an engagement ring her fiancé had thrown onto the tracks during a quarrel. Staff have also described a second presence, the 'tunnel ghost,' linked to a worker who died building a tunnel beneath the station.
