The story

The carrier's best-known ghost is Charly, a polite young sailor with blue eyes in an old-style white uniform, said to have died in a 1944 kamikaze attack. Visitors describe long chats about the engine systems with him in the engine room before realizing he was not a reenactor.

Visitors. Open to the public (museum ship; admission charged).
