The story
This 1879 Strand warehouse, now a hotel, sheltered survivors of the 1900 storm. Ghost tours name a Civil War soldier whose boots clatter across the lobby, a gambler called Lucky Man Sam linked to knocking upstairs and a boy named Jimmy who tips over cups, and guests say fans and TVs switch on during storms.
