The story
The bridge was the site of the lynchings of Alfred Blount in 1893 and Ed Johnson in 1906, and some residents still avoid crossing it out of remembrance. Ghost-walk groups describe cold spots and unease near the south end and tell of a woman in a long white dress on the span.
Visitors. Open to the public (free pedestrian bridge).
Location note. No street number; bridge spans the Tennessee River from downtown at Walnut St
