The story

This 1758 inn hosted Revolutionary-era figures and is the final stop on the town's ghost pub tour. Local tradition links cold spots and a felt presence in the cellar to Brother Albrecht, a monk from a 1914 novel said to guard hidden treasure there.

Visitors. Open to the public (museum and restaurant).
