The story

Legend says the statue on Augusta Bitner's grave weeps and wanders the cemetery at night with glowing green eyes, and that she died on her wedding day. Local historians point out that records show she died as Mrs. Augusta Tevis in 1906, but the tale lives on in ghost tours.

Visitors. Open to the public (cemetery; daylight hours).
