The story
Erie's vampire legend centers on an unnamed crypt marked only with a 'V,' said to hold a Romanian immigrant who died of tuberculosis in the late 1800s, after which bodies supposedly turned up drained of blood. Whether those deaths ever happened is unknown, but the story has clung to the vault for generations, alongside a spot locals call the Witches Circle.
