The story
Hotel tradition holds that a painter fell to his death while decorating the Palm Court ceiling, and that his widow later checked in wearing a green gown and died in her room. The Lady in Green is described as a solid-looking woman in a long green dress, seen most often in the Hall of Mirrors, on the mezzanine and in the elevators.
