The story
Guests describe a calm woman in a blue Victorian dress who pauses to look at them and is gone. Boxer, congressman and racetrack founder John Morrissey died in the hotel in 1878 and lay in state in the second-floor parlor, and he is sometimes named as another resident ghost.
