The story
Built in 1911 and once the tallest building in Bismarck, the Patterson is now senior apartments. Residents of the seventh floor describe big-band music, chatter and footsteps drifting down from the closed eighth floor, and staff of the old Peacock Alley bar said clean glasses were found set out on tables after the room had been locked overnight.
Visitors. Exterior and downtown haunted-history tour stop; upper floors are private residences.
