The story

Governor Frank Briggs died of tuberculosis in the master bedroom of this 1884 Victorian in 1898. Staff and visitors tell of the bedroom door swinging on its own, curtains stirring without a draft and footsteps on the attic and basement stairs, and the family's butler believed Briggs never left the attic.
