The story
Decades of student newspaper stories describe Lucas, said to be a Revolutionary War soldier from the field hospital set up nearby after the 1781 Battle of Guilford Courthouse. He gets the blame for instruments played after hours and a smashed chandelier, while a little girl is said to appear in the choir room and a man in a brown suit sits in the empty seats during rehearsals.
