The story
Ellen Douglas Bellamy grew up in the house and died in her bedroom in 1946, and a woman in late Victorian dress is reported near the old nursery on the top floor. Docents point to ink-like smudges that keep reappearing by a sconce in her room, though the museum notes they are most likely fingerprints.
