The story
After sitting empty from 1924 to 1967, this clifftop mansion became a Hannibal symbol of abandonment. Overnight guests report footsteps on the servants' stairs around 2 a.m. and a man-shaped dent in freshly made beds, which tour narration attributes to the mansion's builder, Cruikshank.
