The story

Navy air cadets billeted in this UMKC mansion in the 1940s reported a woman in a white gown in the halls at night, later assumed to be Harriet Barse. The most repeated claim is organ music rising from the basement with no one at the console, and a 1978 police report mentions an arm in a blue suit sleeve switching off a light.
