The story
Hessian prisoners were held here during the Revolution, and Frederick folklore says cries and groans can still be heard near the grounds after dark. A more dramatic version adds a deadly barracks fire, though no such fire appears in the site's documented history.
Visitors. On an active school campus; exterior view only from South Market Street.
